Light on a Hill

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” – Matthew 5:14 

1. We who are saved are a witness, a reflection of Christ and His light. Our job is not to be the light in our own strength. Our job is to simply stay clean so we can be the purest reflection of His light. 

2. Being set on an hill does not mean we are set on a podium or have an exalted position of some kind. It means we are put in a place that is easily visible and observable by those around us. We cannot be hid. 

Some days we may feel dim or don’t really want to be seen, but we must remember that it is not our light that is shown. It is Christ’s light…and His light is always worth seeing.
